I use an individualized approach with clients. I like to make sure the skills/tools being taught in session fit the client rather than trying to make the client fit the skills/tools.

I tend to be more psychoanalytic and somatic than skills-based or cognitive. We can and will talk about how to manage symptoms with skills but it is my belief that until you get to root of the issue, the symptoms will persist.
