My style in supporting clients is nurturing, direct, and collaborative. We work as a team to help you accomplish your therapeutic goals. Transparency is key to creating change.
Together we can unpack the many layers of who you are and develop skills to help you become more in-touch with your emotions and confident in yourself.

I strive to create a space where you can rediscover a sense of curiosity and authenticity for your personal experience, and explore how this manifests in the here-and-now of therapy.
We will co-create a safe place for you to express your innermost needs & feelings. I will help guide you to be more in touch with your own inner wisdom & authenticity in order to feel more secure, hopeful, & empowered.

In session, I use integrative approaches, most notably Internal Family Systems (IFS), which posits that our minds are akin to families; each part plays a role and may have conflict with other parts of us. I find this approach self-empowering.
My approach is influenced by family systems, psychodynamic viewpoints, and developmental psychology. I commonly use cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and brief solution-focused interventions. You’ll work hard, but we’ll laugh more often than cry.

Therapy will be very conversational and we go at your pace. My work is client-centered and resiliency-focused. Most people benefit from understanding their personal history AND how it might tripping them up now. We'll talk about both.
...understand your problems in a nonjudgemental way. We will understand how they make sense given your life experiences. We will acknowledge your strengths while also figure out what improvements in your thinking, feeling and functioning can be made.

I am a psychodynamic therapist which means that I look for how unconscious issues, rooted in your past, are affecting your life today. I also use techniques from the Cognitive Behavioral Theories, when applicable, to provide quicker symptom relief.
