Work on goals set by you when we are getting to know each other! Things like building positive coping skills to help you better manage life and it's difficulties, finding ways to build your self esteem, or creating healthy boundaries.

I will meet you where you are at. I believe everyone is different, and because of that, I approach everyone as unique individuals. I appreciate humor and sarcasm. and want everyone to feel they can be their authentic self while in therapy.
Hopefully talk, maybe practice some new skills, maybe meditate, hopefully dig deep (if that’s where we need to go, but generally not right away), generally we will problem solve and explore options you are willing and able to try out.

I believe in an integrative approach, that is, there are good parts to many therapy approaches, and everyone is different. So I try and cater my approach on a personal basis.
figure out how to get you some quick relief, while creating a plan to deal with what might go deeper and take a bit longer to work through.

I am motivated, curious, and attentive.
Broad themes that I often discuss with clients include boundary work, patterns/roles in life and within relationships, and how the creative process can be included in the therapeutic work.

I have a nondirective therapeutic style. I let my clients lead what they want to explore and talk about in session. I include the creative process and art making as an important tool for self expression and explorations of emotions.
By sharing your story and being curious, we help you connect the dots between your thoughts, emotions, impulses, behaviors and blind spots. We want to understand what shaped you and the patterns that contributed to how you see yourself.

Therapy is guided by empathy, understanding, and empowerment. I view therapy as encouraging people to view their life as changeable by their situation, in which they can identify realistic steps that promotes positive change and healing.
