I aim to help each client develop a “toolbox” of strategies/skills that can be used to decrease stress, improve communication in relationships, process emotions, combat intrusive thoughts, or target a variety of other common obstacles in their life.

I believe that therapy is a way for us to get to know who we are, and work towards living with authenticity as our favorite versions of ourselves. I work to empower my clients by establishing trust and challenging them to work towards their goals.
We will work on finding adaptive and creative coping tools to assist you in your life no matter the circumstances while also processing what has led to maladaptive coping mechanisms and thought patterns to begin with.

I have an eclectic approach that allows me to provide you with holistic and individualized care. I work hard to create a balance of a place to process while also providing new tools and ideas to cope.
Talk about current problems, past events that may be contributing to current problems, what's going well, etc. A session can be a deep dive into your stuff, or a lighter session if it's too much that day. This is your time, and you direct what we do.

My two main personality traits are sarcasm and humor. I know it's important to take therapy seriously, but I also know that humor can be the best medicine. I prefer and eclectic approach to therapy, using what you find most helpful.
Together we will find out what's important to you, what your goals are, what's in your way, and collaborate on a plan to get you where you want to be.

I approach therapy from a strengths-based and client-focused lens. I believe you have what you need to solve your problems, we just might need to riffle around in your pockets for that bit of bad-ass you forgot you still had.
Together we will explore reconnecting to body and mind through mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, shifting negative thinking or narratives that are holding us back, learning to feel safe and calm within our bodies and in the world.

My counseling philosophy is rooted in belief that the stories we tell ourselves shape our emotions which drive our behavior. Changing our narratives and negative thinking patterns can change our lives: restoring hope, healing, and radical self-love.
