I take on a client-centered approach that focuses on strengths and empathy to empower and motivate an individual through the therapeutic process. Some individuals prefer a more goal-oriented approach and I often combine client-centered with CBT.
We will work on identifying the threads, both painful and joyful, that run through the stories of your life. Once we get a good sense of those contours, we'll start gently tugging apart the threads until the knot doesn't hurt anymore.

I often use more skills-based therapies as we begin work together to decrease the frequency and intensity of your symptoms. After you feel more stable, we use more insight-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapies to create lasting change.
