Therapy isn't a quick fix, change takes time so be patient with yourself. Through this experience, you will gain insight into your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. You are the expert on your life, and I'm here to provide guidance and support.
My clients often discuss their trauma, whether it's one event or spans throughout their lifetime. I also have clients who come to me for mental health care during and post-pregnancy as there are many challenges during those seasons.

In my sessions, you can expect a balanced blend of active listening and empathetic, direct feedback. I am passionate about mental and emotional healing in my clients, and I make that my top priority.
Together we will explore the issues that bring you to treatment and assume a problem-solving approach to deal with those challenges. We will look into patterns of behavior that cause distress in your life and ways to alter behavior for the better.

My approach is person-centered; treating the process as a means for clients to become more empowered in their own lives. While direct in my approach, I believe that the client is in the "driver's seat".
I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the Therapist have come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, and develop future goals for an improved life.

I approach counseling from a Cognitive-Behavioral perspective in that patterns of thought and action is explored to better understand the client’s problems and work with the client to develop solutions. Also, offer a safe place without judgment.
