I believe in establishing rapport with my clients as they confront the issues they’re dealing with. I utilize person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy as well as other evidence-based therapies
The counseling experience should provide an environment that is supportive, nonjudgemental, safe, and encouraging. I use that space to help clients explore their traumas, fears, apprehensions, anxieties and self-defeating thoughts/behaviors.

I believe that each individual client has within themselves the power to change, live their ideal intended life, and maintain satisfying relationships. I have been known to challenge my clients to confront their issues head on without fear.
Bring attention to what's happening in your body at your pace or comfort level. Have some laughs. Work through your story. Perhaps discuss boundaries, communication, or anything else that might apply to your life.

A bottom up approach. I bring awareness to body sensations, breathing patterns, and where emotions are landing in your body rather than focusing only on thought processes. I welcome your story, complexities, and authentic self.
Figure our your goals and what you want out of life. I call myself a "glorified U-Haul driver". I'm willing to help load the boxes and sort the boxes but, I can't unpack the boxes without you. I want you to direct the session, I'm your co-pilot.

I am of the opinion that a therapist shouldn't sit there and ask a thousand questions every session. I want my clients to feel they can have a conversation with me rather than me lecturing them. I want to work with you not for you.
I will work with you to identify your strengths and build upon them, while also exploring areas where you may need support and guidance.

I use a combination of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based modalities that best fit the unique needs of each person. My goal is that each client leaves the session feeling heard and hopeful.
