For some clients therapy can be more educational, learning about the other sex (or the same sex with a different sexual energy) for others its more explorational, learning about themselves.
We will work on identifying the threads, both painful and joyful, that run through the stories of your life. Once we get a good sense of those contours, we'll start gently tugging apart the threads until the knot doesn't hurt anymore.

I often use more skills-based therapies as we begin work together to decrease the frequency and intensity of your symptoms. After you feel more stable, we use more insight-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapies to create lasting change.
Some themes include-but are not limited to grief and loss, transitions, guilt, boundaries, communication, self-compassion, identifying feelings & patterns, practicing assertive communication and reframing thoughts.

The most important part to therapy is the relationship with your provider and I am always wanting feedback from you because this is your journey. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities as listed but aware not one model fits all.
