My approach is one that incorporates mind and body. I believe that you can't isolate mental health without taking a look at the entire picture. I like to help my clients by giving them tools they can start putting into place right away.
build skills in navigating systemic oppression, identity, trauma, relationships, mental health issues, chronic pain and self-esteem. We will work towards empowerment through building self-awareness, compassion and nourishing the mind body connection.

I approach therapy through a non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and harm reduction lens and understand that the client is the expert of their own experience. I view the clinical relationship as a tool for healing.
Collaboratively determine goals and how we will approach them. Begin by understanding who you are and how you've become who you are and then focus on how to be who you want to be in your life today.

I work primarily from psychodynamic and family systems perspectives. I believe that our earlier experiences shape us but don't define us. Making sense of these experiences allows us to make changes in the here and now.
Revealing what motivates our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can unlock renewed self-awareness, leading to meaningful breakthroughs. This newly acquired knowledge can transform and enrich our perception of ourselves and of the world surrounding us.

I practice psychodynamic therapy. My approach is warm, non-directive, non-judgmental, and holistic, as it welcomes you as a whole, including your history, your background, your personality, and your embodied experience.
explore how to engage in healthier, more meaningful relationships. When appropriate I will push you to reach your potential through learning healthier coping mechanisms and maximize your strengths while minimizing your weaknesses.

There isn’t one approach that fits every client. I work closely with clients to identify their needs/wants and find a treatment approach that works best for them. I typically utilize CBT, DBT, Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
