A good therapist's job is to hold up an accurate mirror. That means that we help our clients to see and access their skills and strengths they have, while not being afraid to point out the barriers to progress and health that they are facing.
Discover what is making you anxious and find a way to help you work with your brain and not against it. We will work as a team to find what skills you need in your toolbox to make life work for you. Your anxious thoughts don't have to rule your day.

I utilize my knowledge to find ways to help you get relief from the negative thoughts you're having. I respect your strengths and work with you to find where these meet. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach and I'll be with you each step.
I want to help my clients make changes in their lives. I will help you identify goals and begin the change-process. Importantly, you will be able to talk about things that you have not been able to share with others and identify obstacles to change.

I have worked as a therapist for going on 20 years. I have integrated many different approaches into my work with clients, from behavioral (some DBT) to psychodynamic. I believe that this helps me tailor my approach to each individual that I meet.
Get to know your presenting issues, where they come from, how they serve (and don't really serve) you, and find a path forward. We will also understand your feelings and how you can cope with them in the moment.

I am actively committed to helping clients learn more about themselves. I don’t just sit and listen. I talk and ask thought-provoking questions. I offer new perspectives while also offering time to reflect together.
Hopefully talk, maybe practice some new skills, maybe meditate, hopefully dig deep (if that’s where we need to go, but generally not right away), generally we will problem solve and explore options you are willing and able to try out.

I believe in an integrative approach, that is, there are good parts to many therapy approaches, and everyone is different. So I try and cater my approach on a personal basis.
