Trends continue to change in people’s mental health needs as pandemic isolation starts to end.

In the past 30 days, nearly 10,000 people in the U.S. used Mental Health Match to search for a therapist.

Among their searches, the number of people seeking help with:

  • ADD and ADHD increased 111% over their usual monthly average
  • Eating disorders increased 43%
  • Trauma and PTSD increased 34%
  • Burnout increased 29%

These increased needs reflect concerns and triggers as people increase interactions with other people. Compared to trends at the beginning of the pandemic, these new concerns reflect the pressures people face as they are expected to work and socialize after over a year of increased isolation.

The three most commonly searched concerns over the past 30 days include:

  • Anxiety (71% of all searches)
  • Stress (55% of all searches)
  • Depression (54% of all searches)

No matter what you are feeling, you are not alone. Not only are others having similar struggles, but there are trained professionals who can offer you skills and support. Use our free, confidential matching tool to find options in your community.

And if you feel like you are in crisis with an urgent need for help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1.800.273.8255.
