My therapeutic framework stems from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I like to use this as a basis for my work in combination with skills from trauma informed care, DBT, Mindfulness, and an overall person centered approach.
My goal is to assist and support you in your emotional and mental health journey through mindfulness, reflection, and empathetic support. My therapeutic work is eclectic and tailored to the individual and family needs.

I find strengths-based, solution-focused modalities to be effective in addressing short-term challenges such as life transitions. For more complex or relational issues, systems, expressive, trauma-informed, & collaborative modalities are best.
I don't believe in "mental illness": No one comes to therapy because has been too awesome. When we can identify the source of your pain and heal it, we can change your life. Everyone can get better. They just need to find the right therapist.

I have a down-to-earth style that is balanced by an ability to be direct when needed. Sometimes, people need more than reassurance and support in therapy. Sometimes they need someone to tell what they need to hear, even when it's tough.
