I am a person-centered therapist—you are my focus. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Theory for PTSD, am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and through my own recovery for the past 30 years I am very familiar with 12-Step recovery programs
Initially we will spend some time getting to know each other and understanding of what brings you in to therapy. We can then discuss a goal for therapy and develop a plan to achieve the changes you want to make.

My approach is not a one size fits all so I tend to use skills from counseling methods that research suggests will work best given the particular challenge a person is experiencing

My approach depends on the needs of the client with an emphasis on the Person-Centered and Solution-Focused Approach. With children, I prefer to utilize play-focused modalities including play therapy and sandtray therapy. EMDR is also available.
