I have experience providing both traditional psychotherapy and art therapy in community mental health (in-home), inpatient hospitalization and group private practice settings. I view therapy as unique to the individual - there's no one size fits all.
During sessions, I like clients to be able to process stressors, share more depth relating to barriers and be able to learn a specific coping tool to try to support developing and creating change relating to the barriers that are existing.

My approach many combines client-centered, narrative, behavioral, humanistic, and existential theories using evidence-based techniques from CBT, DBT, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused therapy to meet each client's goals/needs.
I work with my clients on figuring out underlying causes of their symptoms. We also work on developing new healthy self-concept, and learn and practice coping skills that work outside of session.
