assist you in being more present in your daily life, in developing coping strategies to adequately manage current or longstanding challenges and in reaching your identified goals.
My treatment style is primarily a person-centered approach that focuses on building trust, identifying strengths, practicing mindfulness, challenging unhelpful thoughts and improving behavior patterns.
discuss issues freely and without judgment. I want to hear your story at your pace and your time and work together to overcome issues in your life.
I approach therapy open-mindedly with a holistic and solution-focused approach to best address issues in sessions. You lead the pace and I am here to support you on your journey in therapy. I am here to support you and help you find the answers.
My goal is to help you create the change you need in your lived experience. Therapy is about creating a strong working relationship and I want to get to know you, and help you know yourself more deeply and compassionately.
I have worked with clients in severe emotional distress, and also with clients who just feel a need to "find a new path forward". Many of my clients are survivors of trauma, dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, or grief.
Explore patterns of behavior and discuss topics that concern you. This could include fertility, sexuality, trauma, abuse, moods, and relationships. Therapy is about you and what you need. I see the person as the expert of themselves.
I enjoy working with different approaches of therapy, based off what a person needs. I have training in mindfulness, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and MBCT. I will follow the client's lead and focus on getting to the root of the problem and assist in healing.
I've worked extensively with both Women's and Men's issues, Anxiety, Depression, Phase of Life transitions, Depression, Adolescent issues, Anxiety, Active Addiction and Recovery, as well as Crisis and Grief counseling.
My goal is for you to feel seen and understood. I will bring active listening and gentleness to our time together.
