I was a teacher before I started counseling: Equanimity Counseling is founded to demystify therapy and find your unique path to a satisfied life through depression, anxiety, or just being a little weird!
The goal in my work is to help clients identify their individual values – anything that will help a client feel a sense of purpose or meaning in their life and take steps towards those values.

In my practice I engage with a combination of Existential, Acceptance & Commitment, and Narrative Therapies. This includes exploring how clients make choices and how they can be more active in that process to lead a more fulfilling life.
We will also work towards a therapeutic space filled with authenticity, trust, and respect. I honor the strength it takes to seek self-understanding and commit to creating a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space.

I offer compassionate and thoughtful therapy. I use a variety of approaches depending on the client but lean towards person-centered, relational-cultural, and psychodynamic modalities.
People come to see me when they're on a journey of self-exploration. They tend to be insightful, and are ready to start questioning the way they think rather than just believing what they already know.

I incorporate mindfulness techniques, psychodynamic therapy, and self-compassion into our work together. As a creative therapist, I tap into my clients' creative sides, which I believe are a window into our truest selves.
We will discuss your current issues and explore the roots of the problems to help you cope.
