I don't believe in "mental illness": No one comes to therapy because has been too awesome. When we can identify the source of your pain and heal it, we can change your life. Everyone can get better. They just need to find the right therapist.

I have a down-to-earth style that is balanced by an ability to be direct when needed. Sometimes, people need more than reassurance and support in therapy. Sometimes they need someone to tell what they need to hear, even when it's tough.
Create real goals that address the underlying issues and difficulties that may be making your everyday life harder. My hope is that you begin to feel as though you are a better version of yourself! We can also dive deeper into issues via testing.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor to change and I strive to give all my clients a safe and judgment-free session. I listen and help you find your voice. It's there-even if you haven't heard it recently.
Work through identifying and processing thoughts, emotions, interpersonal patterns; evaluate how those patterns are/are not serving you; make intentional choices for what you want your life to look like while relieving symptoms getting in the way.

Therapy can and will look different for every individual. Therapy is hard work, and also fun and rewarding. My approach to therapy is evidence-based and tailored to your needs and goals, which may change and pivot over the course of therapy.
Work to identify strategies and techniques that can begin to offer some relief. We will also begin to alter problematic/less functional narratives that negatively impact your life. Self-compassion is a skill that I work on with almost every client.

understand the influences that have led you to where you are so you can make lasting changes that will impact how you feel about yourself and how you interact with others. We will work together to help you gain insight into problematic patterns.
