I often use more skills-based therapies as we begin work together to decrease the frequency and intensity of your symptoms. After you feel more stable, we use more insight-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapies to create lasting change.

Clients have told me they understand their trauma more in one session together than they have previously in months of talk therapy. I have also been told that I “get” complicated dynamics such as abuse, narcissism and high conflict divorce.

I treat trauma through the lens of mind/body connection. I primarily use EMDR, which bridges the trauma stored in your body/mind/spirit to allow healing, CBT, which helps you identify and replace unhealthy thoughts, and DBT to teach coping skills

I believe the root of most issues lies in our attachment with early caregivers to form our core beliefs. We will unearth patterns and work toward reframing and revising what affects how we show up in our present relationships and lives.
